Venue: Wellness Centre Wollongong

What is the Tasting Mindfulness Workshop?

The Tasting Mindfulness Workshop offers an opportunity for beginners to explore simple and short mindfulness practices in a community group.

The workshop is adapted from the Introducing Mindfulness course designed by the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation. It has three parts, and each part has a theme that is woven into meditation practices and discussions:
Part 1: Paying attention with curiosity and care
Understanding what mindfulness is and practicing where and how we can place our attention.
Part 2: Learning new ways of being
Exploring different ways of living: thinking or just simply being. Learning how we could use them appropriately to rebalance our life.
Part 3: Responding (not reacting)
Recognising our unhelpful reactivities of thoughts and behaviours. Exploring how to use mindfulness practice to make a responsive choice in difficult times.

You will receive a course handbook and all guided mindfulness recordings after the workshop.
