Rebuild Your Core. Restore Your Confidence. Connect With Other Mums.
Early motherhood can feel beautiful, overwhelming, exhausting and transformative … sometimes in the same hour. At the Wellness Centre Wollongong, we offer gentle, supportive movement and education for mums returning to exercise after birth — whether it’s your first baby or your fifth.
You are welcome with your baby or without, depending on what feels right.
Now easier to join
Our Mums & Bubs classes now run as regular weekly classes on the timetable. There’s no four-week block to enrol in and no waiting for the next intake … you simply book the class that suits your week.
Come as a casual, use a class pass, or put your classes on a Studio 1 membership. Same class, same instructors, same care … just far more flexible around naps, feeds and the weeks that don’t go to plan.
Please note: Mums & Bubs and Prenatal classes aren’t available on our introductory passes. They’re specialist small-group classes, so they sit outside the intro offers. Everything else … casual, passes and memberships applies as normal.
New to these classes?
Your first prenatal class is $15, whatever you decide to do afterwards. It’s there so you can see the room, meet the instructor and find out whether it suits you before committing to anything.
Three ways to book your spot
Mums & Bubs is a Studio 1 class, so Studio1 pricing applies
Casual $28 per class
Come when you can. No commitment, no expiry to track. Ideal in the early weeks when you’re still finding your rhythm.
Class Pass from $22 per class
- 5-class pass — $125 · $25 per class · 3-month expiry
- 10-class pass — $220 · $22 per class · 6-month expiry
Buy once and use the classes as they suit you. The 10-class pass runs for six months, so there’s room for the weeks that get away from you.
Studio 1 Membership from $21 a week
Mums & Bubs is a Studio 1 class, so any Studio 1 membership covers it — and the same membership also gets you into yoga, Pilates matwork and iRest® Meditation whenever you can get there.
- Once a week — $21/week · 4 classes per 28 days
- Twice a week — $40/week · 8 classes per 28 days
- Unlimited Studio 1 — $55/week · every Studio 1 class, as often as you like
Weekly direct debit. No lock-in contract. Pause or adjust any time.

What to expect in our Mums classes
We keep everything simple and supportive:
- Cosy, comfortable studio — warm in winter, cool in summer, quiet and calming
- Babies welcome — feed, settle, cuddle, or lay them on a blanket close by
- Judgement-free environment — movement at your pace
- Warm instructors trained in postnatal modifications and mindful movement
- Small groups so you’re always seen and supported
Many mums find comfort in being around others navigating similar challenges, joys, exhaustion and milestones. You’re free to be yourself … even if that means arriving tired, emotional, or running late.
You are welcome with your baby or without, depending on what feels right.
Move with strength, softness and safety
- Core & pelvic floor support
- Posture correction
- Lower back & neck relief
- More energy, better mood
- Nervous system regulation
- Community & connection
Thoughtful postnatal movement isn’t about getting your body back — it’s about rebuilding confidence, reconnecting with yourself, and recovering with support.
Is this class for you
When can I start? Most mums begin gentle postnatal classes from around 6 weeks postpartum after a vaginal birth, or 8–12 weeks after a caesarean, depending on your doctor’s advice. Please have your postnatal check and clearance before your first class. We’re an AUSactive registered business and work to the AUSactive Pregnancy & Postnatal Exercise Guidelines (PDF). If you’re unsure whether you’re ready, call us on 02 4226 3777 and we’ll help you work it out.
- New mums who have had medical clearance for exercise
- Recovery after vaginal or caesarean birth
- Complete beginners through to experienced exercisers
- Mums who want to bring baby along, and mums who'd rather not
- Those navigating loss at any stage ... you are welcome here
Tips for Attending With Your Baby
You might find it useful to bring:
- A fed baby (if possible, but no pressure)
- A small blanket or pram
- A favourite toy or comforter
- Spare nappies and wipes
- Anything that helps you both feel relaxed
And remember, it’s okay if your baby fusses or needs to be held. We understand. Truly
We recommend arriving by 10:20am (or a little earlier) so you have plenty of time to settle in, find parking, and get comfortable, especially if it’s your first visit.
Frequently asked questions
I'm new to Pilates. Is this suitable?
Absolutely. Our Mums & Bubs classes are designed for all experience levels, and every exercise is offered with modifications.
Do I need to sign up for a program?
No. The four-week program has been retired. Mums & Bubs now runs as a regular weekly class on our timetable … book a casual class, use a class pass, or use your Studio 1 membership.
Can I use my intro pass for Mums & Bubs?
No. Mums & Bubs and Prenatal classes aren’t included in our introductory offers. You can join with a casual class, a Studio 1 class pass, or any Studio 1 membership.
Which membership covers Mums & Bubs?
Any Studio 1 membership — Once ($21/wk), Twice ($40/wk) or Unlimited ($55/wk). The same membership also covers yoga, Pilates matwork and iRest® Meditation, so you can mix and match.
Can I bring my baby?
Yes. Babies are very welcome. Feeding, settling and stepping out mid-class are all completely fine.
Is the program suitable after a caesarean birth?
Yes, provided you have clearance from your healthcare provider … usually around 8–12 weeks postpartum.
What if I miss a week?
Membership classes are issued as credits over each 28-day period, so a missed week can be caught up the next. Passes have a 3 or 6-month life, so there’s plenty of room.
Do concession rates apply?
Yes. Community Access Rates apply to both prenatal and postnatal classes … 20% off Studio 1 casual classes, class passes, and Once & Twice memberships.
What happens when my baby gets older?
Many mums move across to our regular Pilates matwork, yoga or Reformer classes when they’re ready. Your Studio 1 membership already covers matwork and yoga, so there’s nothing to change.
Come along when it suits you
No intake dates, no program to enrol in. Find a class time that works, and we’ll see you there.
Spaces are limited to keep classes small and personal.
