Yoga is an ancient Indian practice that began thousands of years ago. Designed as a spiritual path, now the physical aspects of yoga especially have rapidly gained in popularity as an effective form of exercise and a great way to prevent and manage stress. There are many different types of yoga, with each one relies on structured poses (asanas) together with breath awareness and control. Researchers have found that the regular practice of yoga can result in many health benefits. The Wellness Centre is a great place for Illawarra residents to celebrate International Yoga Day in Wollongong.
